This two-part workshop explores the therapeutic power of children's books. In Part One, Dr. Linda Mayes, Director of the Yale Child Study Center joins authors from Scholastic to share strategies for using children’s books therapeutically in schools and clinical settings. In Part Two, award-winning author Sara Levine highlights the special case of empathy, showcasing her own work and other recently published picture books that can be used to effectively teach empathy across various child-centered environments.
